Welcome to esd electronics, Inc.
Fieldbus Seminars - 2009!
esd electronics, Inc would like to thank everyone who helped make the 2008 CAN - CANopen - J1939 Seminar Series such a success! We would also like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a happy and prosperous 2009!
On March 12, 2009, esd co-hosted a complimentary webinar, The Fundamentals of CANopen for Industrial Machine Control. In this overview of the CANopen specification, designers gained a fundamental understanding of the platform, advantages and disadvantages, and where the standard is headed. Presenters also looked at device profiles, including an actual multi-networked application, and explored the various communication layers and how they can be optimized for industrial control applications. Our second day-long seminar at the beautiful Warren Conference Center is scheduled for October 8, 2009. Besides the basics of CAN, we plan an increased focus on Ethernet based industrial protocols. We have plans to include workshops on some of the real-time technology available. esd is seeking speakers who would make short, 45 minute to 1 hour, presentations on fieldbus applications, growing and emerging technologies, industry applications or case studies that would appeal to engineers, managers or others concerned with the real issues of implementing fieldbus and/or industrial Ethernet technologies. If you are interested in participating or have suggestions, please follow this link to our page "Call for Papers" for further information.
esd electronics, Inc is continues to work with the RTECC Group for technically and educationally focused seminars. We look forward to seeing you during 2009! Please check back here for more information on all of the seminars for this year - and let us know if you have suggestions - we are always happy to hear from you!
